Duluth Ruling & Binding Co. started in 1912. The owners names were Percy Lawson and Al Baumgardner. The business was incorporated in 1922 and survived the depression of 1929. It has been known for the finest hand crafted hard cover bound books from its first day to the present day.

Duluth Ruling & Binding Co. was the first to introduce Wire Coil Binding to this area in 1940. Different types of binding were added over time as new types of binding were introduced to the market. We now do four different types of mechanical binding to meet our customers needs.

Our customers vary from a wide range from: Private Individuals, Architects, Attorneys & Law Firms, Churches, Banks, Hospitals, Manufacturers, Retail Stores, Wholesale Business's, Printing Company's, News Paper Publishers, Publishers, Colleges, University's and many others. Government agencies including: Federal, State, County, Parishes, Boroughs, and Town Ships. The list goes on. We have many return customers dating back to the start of business.
